With Latin making a serious comeback in schools (More info), I can hope. The Latin version of Harry Potter has, I think, done relatively well. There’s also one in Welsh and another one coming in Irish.

I think it’s a brilliant idea. Not only will it be a great thing to read (Classics and Harry Potter being two of my favourite things) but it really should motivate people to learn Ancient Greek. The Harry Potter books are really helping the ancient languages make a comeback. Three cheers for J.K. Rowling’s mythological references!

I think it is a wonderful accomplishment and idea. Having read the latin one, it is a genuine breath f fresh air to be able to read/translate without having to sit with a dictionary and/or work out difficult sentence structures or tricky hyperbatons or hard iambic verses – one can enjoy it like any other language. As a young student at 15 I really enjoy it because it especially bridges the gap between made up latin in one’s text book and the real latin, or Greek as it were, which you have to face afterwards. I am really enjoying it and encourage all students to buy both!
